on arrival in beijing-capital of china, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

day 02 beijing

today, you will visit tiananmen square-the world's largest public square. forbidden city, known as imperial palace, is the former residence of the ming and qing dynasty emperors. it houses a great variety of rare cultural relics and works of arts. this afternoon, you will visit the immaculate summer palace famous resort of the empress dowager cixi in 1888. dinner will be served with the famous peking duck.

day 03 beijing

today's highlight is the world-renowned great wall, the only man-made struc-ture that can be seen from the moon. this afternoon, on your sightseeing list the ming tombs of 13 emperors of ming dynasty and the sacred way, a 5-kmavenue of huge sculptural animals.

day 04 beijing / xian

this morning, you will visit the magnificent temple of heaven where emperors prayed to their gods for good harvest and longevity. after lunch, depart by air for xian, a city of immense historical and cultural interest.

day 05 xian

today's highlight is the world-famous terracotta warriors that have guarded the tomb of emperor qin shihuang for 2,000 years. this afternoon, you visit banpo museum where you will see the site of a neolithic community for yangshao culture(6,000 bc).a spectacular tang dynasty show of dance and music will be performed for your entertainment.

day 06 xian / chengdu

after breakfast, depart by air for chengdu, a dynamic and colorful city which is the capital of sichuan province. you will enjoy an afternoon tour of visiting the playful pandas at the chengdu zoo and a bamboo ware factory.

day 07 chengdu

this morning, you will visit du jiang dam, an engineering marvel constructed in 250 bc. then proceed to du fu cottage where the great tang poet du fu lived. this afternoon, you will visit ching yang gong, the largest and oldest taoist temple complex in southwest china.

day 08 chengdu / tibet

after breakfast, depart by air to lhasa-the capital of tibet nestled high in the gyi qu valley. this afternoon, you will be free to acclimatize to the high altitude.

day 09 lhasa

today you will visit the jokhan temple. it is the oldest major buddhist temple in tibet and houses the magnificent golden statue of buddha sakyamuni. in the afternoon, you will visit the sera monastery a norbulingka park built by the seventh dalai lama.

day 10 lhasa / xiggtze

after breakfast, your exploration of the region takes you into the countryside to the clear blue water of yamdrok lake, with the himalayas as a backdrop, you pass through the 5,000 kambala pass, before passing through gyantse and arriving late evening in xiggtze, the second largest city in tibet.

day 11 xiggtze

this morning, you will visit zhaxilunbu monastery-one of the four major monasteries of yellow sect under lamaism. in the monastery, there is a huge statue of buddha, 26.4 meters high and it is a rare piece of treasure in the world.

day 12 xiggtze / lhasa

after breakfast, we commence our return journey to lhasa; if it is possible to vary the routing depending on road and weather conditions.

day 13 lhasa

this morning, you will visit the impressive potala palace, a massive 13-story palace which is the dalai lama's most famous landmark. this afternoon, you will visit the drepung monastery, once the largest cloister in the world.

day 14 lhasa / chengdu

after breakfast, depart by air back to chengdu. this afternoon will be free for your rest and exploration.

day 15 chengdu / guangzhou

this morning, depart by air for guangzhou. you will visit the main attractions including yuexiu park, statue of five goats and dr. sun yat-sen's memorial hall.

day 16 guangzhou / hong kong

after breakfast, depart by express train for hong kong.
