beijing-chengde two days tour

chengde is an 18th-century imperial resort, about 250 km northeast of beijing, that is also known as jehol or "rehe." it was discovered by the early qing emperor kangxi in the late 17th century, who found the cool summer climate and natural scenery appealing as a summer retreat. kangxi and his successors built some 72 palaces there by the end of the 18th century, along with replicas of the potala palace of the tibetan buddhist lamas. today chengde is a popular tourist center and now a summer retreat for beijing urbanites.

day 1: beijing/ chengde by train (l, d)

get to the beijing railway station on your own. take train k711 ( 07:20 - 11:18 ) for chengde.

upon your arrival, met by our attentive local tour guide on the platform and transferred to your hotel.

after lunch, visit chengde summer resort. dinner.

day 2: chengde/beijing by train (b, l)

morning sightseeing of puning temple and potala temple. lunch. transfer to railway station for your train k712 ( 14:40 - 18:36 ) back to beijing.

- local guide: train station welcome and assistance on arrival and departure, and sightseeing for proposed visit in the itinerary.

- tips and gratuities, - meals not specified in the itineraries,

- national guide. if you need a national guide, his/ her air/train ticket, accommodation( about usd$ 25/day) and service charge (usd$25/day) should be added.
