d1arrive in beijing. greeted by our attentive local guide and transferred to the hotel.

d2 full day tour to visit tiananmen square, the largest square in the world, and the forbidden city, which has been the royal palace for more than 500 years, and the summerpalace, a beautiful royal garden with a big lake. a famous peking duck dinner is arranged in the evening.

d3 a day excursion to the great wall at mutianyu with cable car go up and down the wall. on the way back, stop at the ming tombs. peking opera in the evening.

d4 in the morning, visit to the temple of heaven, where the qing emperors prayed for good harvest. after lunch, take a flight to chengdu. upon arrival, go to visit the thatched cottage of du fu, a famous poet in tang dynasty.

d5 take the early morning flight to lhasa where the elevation is about 3600 meters. visit the norbulinkapalace and the drepung monastery.

d6 the highlight today is to visit the world famous potalapalace which has been completely renovated for the past two years. in the afternoon, we go to visit the jokhang monastery and the well known local market - barkhor street which has all kinds of the tibetan style arts & handicrafts.

d7 drive from lhasa to shigatse, enjoy the scenery on the way. stay in shigatze hotel.

d8 visit the tashilumpo monastery in the morning and tour around the local market and the old part of the town in the afternoon.

d9 drive back to lhasa through the southern part road and stop over at gyangze to visit the baiju monastery and wanfotower and then drive along the lakeyangzeyong back to lhasa.

d10 take the morning flight to chengdu, after lunch, visit the zoo to see the grand pandas, then go to taste some of the famous chengdu snacks.

d11 after a relaxed breakfast in your hotel, we will transfer you to the airport and see you off.
