d1 arrive in beijing and transfer to the hotel near tiananmen square and the shopping district of central beijing.

d2 visit the forbidden city and tian'anmen square, after lunch, hutongs walking tour.

d3 visit the great wall at mutianyu, including the two-way cable car. on the way back, visit the ming tombs which consists of the tombs of 13 emperors in ming dynasty.

d4 sightseeing in the summer palace built in qing dynasty, then visit a very beautiful lama temple. in the evening, go to one of the tea houses for snacks and show including some peking opera.

d5 take a morning flight to xi'an, transfer to the hotel. you will visit some handcraft factories and perhaps you would like to take a walk on the wall surrounding the main part of the city. tang dynasty show in the evening (one of the best in china).

d6 visit the terra cotta warriors, which is regarded as the 8th wonder of the world. it is discovered in the 1970's. on the way back, visit the ancient huaqing pools where the emperor and the concubines bathed in the hot spring. a visit to the jade carving factory will be included before dinner.

d7 take a morning flight to chongqing and transfer to the hotel. sightseeing in the city which is by the side of yangtze river.

d8 board the cruise boat in the morning and start your trip down stream.

d12 visit the famous yuyuan garden in the old district of shanghai. take a walk along the waterfront of the bund, then visit the national museum.

d13 take a train to suzhou (only 50 minutes), the beautiful town well-known for its gardens and silk. suzhou is also called the venice of the east, because there are many canals in the city. after sightseeing in the city, take a train back to shanghai in the early evening.

d14 sightseeing in nanjing road which is the best place for the last-minute shopping, then depart shanghai. end of your china tour.
