6-days yangtze cruises of wuhan/chongqing

day 01: our guide will pick you up at wuhan airport. after dinner, your memorable yangtze river tour begins as you board the deluxe cruise ship.

day 02: sail through the jianghan plain. after breakfast at 9:00, you will have a safety, orientation & river briefing. you will learn the geography & river lore of china. a presentation on chinese traditional medical therapies is available. after lunch, chinese cultural programs including introduction to chinese fresh water, chinese dough sculpture and introduction to chinese kites will keep you busy until late afternoon. you may see kites flying on the sundeck if weather permits. captain's welcome party will begin at 17:15 on the sundeck.

day 03: this morning we will enter the xiling gorge and pass the five-step ship lock at the three gorges dam. disembark for an excursion to the new and still under construction, three gorges dam. this is a historic project and you will have 2 hours to visit the site.

day 04: this morning, after breakfast we'll disembark at wushan daning river for an excursion to the three little gorges. the trip features a fantastic natural backdrop and a wonderful boat ride along the crystal stream. the motorized sampan allows you to experience a speedy adventure and have a close look at mossy rocks, verdant plants, plank roads, ancient coffins and precious animals. get ashore and have lunch on the ship. around 16:00 we'll enter the last but grandest gorge- the qutang gorge. the river guide will talk about historic sites like ancient plank road, mengliang stairway and the mysterious hanging coffins of the ancient ba people.

day 05: cruise through the mountains of eastern sichuan. it is the last part of your memorial yangtze cruise. disembark this morning for an excursion to wanxian, an ancient town on the riverbank. a bus tour takes you around the town with minimal walking. a local acrobatic performance is included. back on board at noon and continue the cruise viewing the beautiful landscape of sichuan in the afternoon. you can participate in cultural programs this afternoon and a farewell party tonight invites our passengers to perform dancing or musical instruments.

day 06: after breakfast, relax and pack your bags with leisure. complete check-out procedures before lunch and disembark afterwards. the estimated arrival in chongqing is around 10:00.
